THE RIDE REPORTS

This year all scooter blogs will be under this heading (I think). Each trip will be detailed on it's on page. I will write on this page from time to time. .
(The pages are listed across the top and under "pages" over to the right.  Just put your pointer over either and click. Try it. It is easy.)

UPDATED MAY 3

Time for the 8th annual spring fling ride.   This year we are off to Mississippi for a extended visit, up to Tennessee and Kentucky and after that we do not know, but are taking suggestions.  We will be back in Raleigh, NC on the first of June and then continue the ride on the first of July.  There will be history lessons on this trip with a little cooking culture also. So, be ready..

(sorry, the new map google sucks or I just haven't got it yet)

I questions I get often is “your going by yourself?” and “aren't you afraid?”

Well, I am never by myself. When I look in the mirror I see Frank and Freddy, ever glamorous Betty, there is Jackie and Dave. In fact it is down right crowded sometimes, even if they are there just in the virtual world. Then there are always the people that I meet along the way.

I am not sure what people think I should be afraid of. If you ask them what bad thing has happened to them in there life 99% say “nothing, but......” We are creating a world of scared people. Kids cannot stand at the end of the driveways and wait for the school bus without adult supervision. Bulling on the internet? Bulling in a virtual world can be traumatic if you live in that world I guess, which more and more are doing. Adults want go in that neighborhood “because”. I love it when I see children running up and down my street being free, the thing we most Americans treasure, freedom.

In another since this is good for me. Let those people live in the virtual world and I have less people to compete with as a tourist in the real world. Maybe I will start bulling the my virtual world.
